[IntLawProfessors] UNITED NATIONS MILITARY FORCES?

I'm a bit behind the curve, re the stories coming out of Ivory Coast, re not only French but "UN helicopters" firing ammo. As the UN Charter Art. 43 standing army never materialized, is this misleading reporting, or does the UN actually have its own helo's and forces engaged in this presidential affair?
