Call for applications for visiting PhD students in the Centre for
International Governance and Justice, ANU
The Centre for International Governance and Justice (CIGJ), part of the
Regulatory Institutions Network (RegNet) in the College of Asia and the
Pacific, Australian National University in Canberra invites applications
from PhD students enrolled at other universities to visit the Centre for
up to two months in 2012.
 
Funding for visitor scholarships (up to $1500 per student, including
the costs of travel and accommodation in Canberra) is available.
Visiting students from overseas are responsible for obtaining and
funding any necessary visas. Visiting students will have shared office
space with a computer (if needed), printing and copying facilities, and
borrowing privileges at ANU libraries.
 
This scheme is under the auspices of Professor Hilary Charlesworth*s
Australian Research Council Laureate Fellowship on *Rights, Regulation
and Ritualism*, and is designed to encourage doctoral students in the
area of human rights to visit CIGJ and participate actively in its

Applications are due by 20 March 2012. They should include a cv, a
statement (of up to 500 words) about the applicant*s PhD research and
how it might benefit from a visiting PhD scholarship at CIGJ, as well as
the proposed dates of the visit. Contact details for the applicant*s
supervisor(s) should also be included.
