Greetings colleagues,

I am writing with my ASIL International Environmental Law Interest Group co-chair hat on (with a bit of IG self-promotion).

For those who are going to be at Rio+20, the Environmental Law Institute, the University of North Carolina Center for Law, Adaptation and Resources, and the ASIL IELIG are co-hosting a side-event on Friday, June 15 (11.30 - 1.30), in Room 12, Egidio Bruneto, Flamengo Park. The event will consider the importance of law and legal systems to effective climate change adaptation, provide theoretical frameworks for how to approach reforming a range of laws and policies to a changing climate, and discuss specific examples.

Many thanks to Carl Bruch, Victor Flatt, and Timo Koivurova for doing the organizing and being on the ground in Rio.

Kind regards,
DA
