The Environmental Law Institute and the American University School of International Service are pleased to announce that Michael Ross will deliver the inaugural Al-Moumin Distinguished Lecture on Environmental Peacebuilding.  He will speak on "Natural Resources and Conflict: A Glimpse into the Future?"

Michael L. Ross is Professor of Political Science at UCLA, and the author of The Oil Curse: How Petroleum Wealth Shapes the Development of Nations. His work has appeared in Foreign Affairs, Foreign Policy, The New York Times, Harper's, and leading academic journals.
