My experience too. Close the lid it goes to sleep and consumes almost  
no battery power. I've left it for over a day and only a few % of the  
battery was used. Open it, the screen lights up and you are back  
where you are and a second later it finds the wireless network and  
you are online. So far, after a month of use, it's never crashed.

When I go to my partners place I just click the name of her network ,  
click apply, and I'm online again. I have to change the mail settings  
of course as well.
