how good is the map, and is it navigable?

my first thought was to use this to find where the heck *I* am, or more
exactly to obtain a map detailing the streets and such of my current locale.

much easier than busting out the laptop and firing up whereis.com.au,
especially given I'd also need wireless IP tone.

I wonder if they'll also start plotting the locations of advertisers .. eg.
MacDonalds, parking, cinemas, public toilets, etc. They could possibly even
subsidise the service that way.
