If you go to the French site linked to from this article, right beside
the story is a link to another article saying how a major French
government department (Customs? Not sure, my French is crap) is moving
from MS Office to OpenOffice. The move should be complete by the end of
the year and will save 29 million Euros. That's about 48 million
Australian dollars.

Good on them.

One think I forgot to mention in my previous post is that the military
(the source of this information that OO is less secure than MSOffice)
has a very skewed idea of what "secure" means. I think we need to see
lot more before we assume their problems are our problems.
