Subject: Mambo Exploit

Folks,

Due to vunerabilities identified in older versions of Mambo 4.5.2 and
below, (a large national ISP) requires schools who use Mambo to upgrade
your Mambo installation to version 4.5.4 immediately.

Web sites that have not upgraded to Mambo 4.5.4 in the next 72 - 96
hours may see their web site temporarily disabled until the upgrade has
been implemented.

To upgrade to Mambo version 4.5.4 you will need to perform the
following:

- Backup your databases and any specific config or templates via the
Plesk Control Panel and FTP if neccessary.

- Remove all Mambo instances and delete any Mambo files currently
installed.

- Install current version Mambo

- Reimport your database via phpMyAdmin

- Reconfigure Mambo

Those schools using Joomla will also need to ensure that they have the
latest Joomla installation.

Regards,
(Large Aussie ISP)
