....my own reasons for top posting...include:

a)assumption that on a mailing list people have already read what the 
other person posted....if not it is available below for future reference.
b)when there is a long detailed posting, I know I often don't read it 
all, but may if someone points out a particular aspect through top posting.
c)I find inline replies promblematic as they get lost.
d) haveing now read the rest of Craig's email, below, we seem to be 
coming from different perspectives...
