The very fact that broadcast 2 minutes of video footage I had NOT released
to any media outlet. ABC claimed it was broadcast on Channel Seven and
they just "copied it for comment." However the footage didn't have the
Channel Seven watermark, or the Today Tonight logo. And TT didn't
broadcast that material anyway.
How it came into the hands of ABC, well we originally thought it might have
been via Channel Nine, who had a copy on VHS, however, the Tape supplied to
Channel Nine was never rewound from where I left it when I finished dubbing
it - in other words it was never played.
Channel Seven certainly didn't give it to them, and they had access to the
original Non-VHS version. Which means there was only one other copy on VHS.
The other thing is ABC then tried to sell the material to me at a huge price!
I need not say more.
