OH MY GOD! Jan, you have expressed my own expressions for the last 8 years!
The Australian Federal Police don't do anything useful. They can't even
stop pirated copies of DVD's not yet released in the markets in Australia
being sold internally!
I hope the new copyright laws are applied to internal staff before they
apply them to any member of public. Because the Government might find a
Public Crusade established to net the Government staff of crimes!
But you are so right. Minister palms off to Director General, DG palm off
the Department Head, Department head says staff followed protocols set down
by Parliament (which is baloney!) and they hope at this point you will go away.
But be warned, if you telephone a second time or send a letter a second
time or send an email a second time you are guilty of menacing.
But there are options. Chip into my public awareness TV funds and help us
buy airtime to educate the public! Government hates a self aware population!
