Perhaps this might illustrate the issue...[the timing is spooky]

Last week I collected some pottery which had just been fired. The
wet pot had been resting on some paper, which stuck to it. I assumed the
paper would burn in the firing so did not bother to try to remove it.
The result is I now have the reverse text from the bit of paper recorded
forever in clay...The text is in reverse, I think it is house prices from a
newspaper.

if you extend copyright...perhaps there will be some uncomfortable
questions about prints and patterns used in ceramic tiles and fabrics or
photographs of antient Egyptian paintings....I know there is some story
surrounding wall paper being rediscovered in Sydney.
