Jan,
I moved across to FF 2.0 automatically when i upgraded my Linux
Ubuntu to Edgy Eft (v6.10), and my experience so far is:
* seems faster than FF 1.5 (but that may be subjective, or an artifact
of Edgy being more efficient than Dapper)
* not all the plugins worked initially, for example the TinyURL plugin
was only supplied yesterday in a workable form, but they seem to be
working like demons to upgrade them.
* a lot of themes & plugins are FF 2.0 only anyway, and this increases
my options.
* like Adam Todd, i found it strange that they went to a close button
for each tab, when i was happy with select-a-tab-and
click-the-common-close because i could shut down tabs easier, but i can
live with that.
* i haven't had it hang yet, unlike the (occasional) hang in FF 1.5)
overall, i'm happy with it.
regards,
EL
