It was a big week for the ICT skills crisis last week. The Australian
Public Service had a half day symposium "ICT Skills in the APS -
buying in a sellers market" and released a tender for training ICT
apprentices. The ACS launched its new "Computer Professional Program"
with open source (Moodle ) based online training system (I suggested
how the ACS could use Podcasting for it).

For my notes on these see:

<http://www.tomw.net.au/technology/it/egovernment/skills.shtml>
* Podcasting for Education and Training

ps: I suggested to the ATO they could solve their ICT skills crisis
by advertising jobs on my web site, like the Defence Department, WA
and Victorian governments already do. ;-)
