There's also a tag one can add to HREF's which will make Google stop following
them as part of the indexing process.
This makes using your blog/forum site (or your webalizer or similar site,
woo for referrer spam) less useful to spammers. They'll still do it but it
won't contribute towards their Google rank.
I have no idea if the other search engines are doing something similar.
