i am using Dapper Drake, the Ubuntu 6.06 LTS that lies between Breezy
and Edgy, and i will move to Edgy as soon as it is official

overall, i am very impressed, it is stable and quick, and it has
packages for just about anything, and i am a multimedia freak, so i have
to be able to handle *every* format, which it does (admittedly with a
little tweaking). the key trick is to install a package called
Automatix that allows you to add the extra features very simply.

that said, some friends are using Fedora Core, which has just gone
version 6, and they are very happy with it.

the main difference seems to be that if you are a hard core geek, Fedora
gives you a fine system with precise control, but if (like me) you are
more focussed on applications then Ubuntu is the bee's knees.

hope this helps,

regards,
    EL
