Subject: RFID Guidance
Dear Dr. Murakami Wood,
We thought you might be interested to know that the Information
Commissioner's Office has recently published two pieces guidance on
radio frequency identification technology. One is a short piece aimed
at individuals and aims to explain briefly what the technology is and
what it is used for, and to address concerns people may have about
its privacy implications. The other note contains more technical
detail and examines closely the requirements for data controllers who
use or are considering using RFID.
The two documents are accessible on our website at the following URLs:

We would appreciate it if you would pass on this guidance to any
other interested parties you might be aware of.
Best regards,
Jonathan Turner
