For that reason alone, DNA should never be used for ID. Perhaps as
part of a multi-level authentication scheme, yes.

Ironic that what is the one unique thing that identifies an
individual is so easily stolen and misused.

There is a case in the courts now where the defendant is
claiming that the cops purloined his used condoms to fake an ID
in order to falsely nail him for a rape he did not commit.
