[LINK] OOXML making a farce of ISO standards process

Hi folks,

I've been closely involved with the standards-making process in IETF
and IEEE for a very long time. Both of those organisations look to
the processes of ISO as the "gold standard".

That seems to have broken down badly, with the process for ISO's
consideration of Microsoft's new document format being a farce
of what a standards development process should look like.

I've become upset enough to put in a submission myself. Drafts
