Eureka he cried as he ran naked down the street. Archimedes wasn't wrong!
Actually that article made a good, if nitpicking, point, but it only applies
to glacial ice, not to sea ice.

Where does all that salt go annually when the sea ice freezes?
It must lower the sea level.
On the Planet Earth program the other night Attenborough said that sea ice
extends from the Antarctic coast in Winter by an incredible rate of 2.5
miles (I think it was miles) a day. It's hard to believe such a rate of
change, but I don't dispute the master.
The poor old penguins would face a never-ending-journey if they reached the
coast at the wrong time.
