Sigbritt Löthberg's home has been supplied with a blistering 40 Gigabits per second connection, many thousands of times faster than the average residential link and the first time ever that a home user has experienced such a high speed.

Well Australia can claim better than that!

I have been exchanging emails with a now 87 year old, for the last 8 or so
years. Another 87 year old, who I still regularly play 18 holes of golf with,
has just bought a DVD player - this was prompted by the need to see the contents
of a DVD featuring her!. Guess the advantage in Australia is that it isn't
miserable dark and cold for half the year!
