[SNIP good data about consumption]
I am STUNNED people are stupid enough to by Plasma TV's and Air
Conditions and then com, plaint about increased electricity consumption.
With Washing Machines, Driers, Fridges and other appliances all
having an Energy Star rating isn't it time this was applied to
LCD/Plasma equipment? Even laptops, computers, gawd everything really.
I was tossing between a plasma and lcd a while ago and when I saw the
power consumption of the plasma I freaked. No chance of running it
on a minimal Solar power system. It needs it's own Solar plant!
(sigh)
