But it always is.

That's the point with fibre.

If you put cheap terminal equipment on each end, then you might have only
20Mb/s, and be only able to run one HDTV set

If you put 100Mb/s terminal equipment on each end, you can have 5 HDTV sets

Then if you put 1 gigabit terminal equipment on each end you can wallpaper
your house with HDTV LCDs and really enjoy yourself.

There is no need to infinitely extrapolate your predictions, when the fibre
has virtually infinite extensibility.

And If you then want more, you buy a second fibre.

Frankly, I'm beginging to find this discussion tedious.

We all seem to be in agreement that fibre direct to the home is the
preferred option, and it is now feasible in cost terms - or will be in the
next five years.  So what are we arguing about?
