Just catching up on my weekend's mail.

Karl/Stewart - Copper was laid before we had wireless and before both
cables and wireless communication became digital. Given how little I use
my home phone, I think I am probably paying $2 per incoming and outgoing
call!

broadband not access via lans, workplaces, semipublic wireless networks..."

A couple of personal comments, I travelled to China in 1993/4 - the
demand for telecommunications and take up was so great, there isn't time
to lay cable.

On a visit to the UK, can't remember which year, an expat commented that
they were surprised at the slow take up of Internet/Email/IT in the UK
workplaces.

PS Stil, I have just upgraded to ICE Dove and am investigating the
time/date problems with my email.
