Stewart, I agree with your well reasoned argument for
decentralisation, but couldn't you argue that deployment of super-size
broadband infrastructure in the regional areas would attract people to
that lifestyle?

I'd also state that keeping up with the speeds of other countries is
very necessary for Australia to be in the market for broadband online
applications. If we don't have a decent, low-latency network here that
entire opportunity is closed to us.

I know you just want everyone to abandon their copper tails so your
nationwide 12v network can reign supreme. Just as long as everyone
gets a bedside mechanical switchboard to route their calls. :)
