Not at all.
The key is not protected from being discovered. They KEY is
protected form the law that says you can't use it without a licence
and that using it is a criminal offence.
Like a firearm. You can have one, but that doesn't make it lawful
and you can see them everywhere.
So why not publish the key, print it on damn T-shirts if desired, and
trade mark it.
It is then protected by Trademark from anyone using it or publishing
it in any way, and it's also protected by the DRM laws.
Makes perfect sense to me.
A lock is able to be opened with a key, a pick lock, a blast or a
shoulder. Why hide the door when it's obvious anyway?
