I tried the backup program that Roger found for me, Cobian Backup 8, 
written by a guy in Sweden, and it works fine. Just don't try to make 
it work with 2 firewalls. (Windows and Sygate). I turned off the 
Windows one and it worked. And the programmer sent me the answer 
within hours when I asked for help.

Worth a look if you have offsite FTP access space already.
