This is absolutely disgraceful.    No matter what this man did, he
did it under Australian law, as an Australian citizen, in his home land.
He should be tried as an Australian, by the Australian system.

Much, much more lenient sentences than this are given for far
more heinous crimes and extradition is out of the question.

This poor person stands no chance of a fair trial, much like what has
happened to David Hicks and in many ways, this is a far worse outcome.
It overturns many unspoken tenets of our justice system.   He has been
sold out by the same govt that is supposed to protect him.

And where do they get the $50m figure from?   I can make up a figure
like that just as easily for services rendered.  He has not stolen 
anything.   Nothing is taken, it is all still there.
