I think Glen (and everyone else) means "ALLEGED crimes".

Mr Griffiths has not yet been tried in a court and found guilty of any crime
-- at least in relation to the current discussion. I don't know about any
other crimes he may or may not have been found guilty of in the  past.

It'd be nice to assume innocence until guilt is proven. This isn't Fox News,
after all. You know, fundamentals of our legal system and the rule of law
and all that inconvenient stuff...
