[LINK] RFID enabled Mobile Phone for Health Monitoring

the ad hominem attacks are a bad move, i suggest that when it gets
heated it usually means that the wrong question is being asked.

so what is the right question?

i'm not quite sure how i'd word it, but i suggest that the notion of a
"Wired World" comes in there somewhere, and perhaps this is one of the
manifestations of that.

i am told that IPv6 (?) the dotted hex thing, would have enough codes
to give one for every grain of sand on earth ... is this true? even if
not so, it's going to give an awfully large number of IP addresses, and
if every single RFID has one, we have to ask questions like "what is
privacy? how is it preserved? is it important?".

i think this is a change on the order of discovering fire, or inventing
the wheel ... it promises to change the world dramatically.

for the conspiracy folks, i note only that i really don't think anybody
is in control, it's just us monkeys surfing the waves of change, and i
am not surprised that Geoffrey admits to his links in his .sig, just as
i do in mine; we neither of us think that we're evil or demented, just
folks doing an honest day's work.

sure there are the wicked trying to exploit and manipulate us, but we
were given minds and hearts, and it is up to us to judge for ourselves,
and act accordingly.

all the rest is hot air.

regards,
    EL

P.S: i intended that rant to be slightly wider in scope, and i'd add in
the view from the wifi devices, mobile phones, and other equipment all
loosely linked together by those wiggly radio wave thingies.
