The ABS released "8146.0.55.001 - Patterns of internet access in Australia, 2006" yesterday.  It is an analysis of the 2006 census results, and compared to the 2001 census.  Available at:

There's an 80 page pdf with hotspot thematic maps, analyses and words, and a bunch of spreadsheet tables.  IBroadband vs non-broadband access is a focus, and a note of thanks to the funding derived from ACMA ;-)
