Australian IT is reporting this as well today.

Howard/Coonan have just handed Rudd a gift-wrapped opportunity.
The current situation is *completely* of Howard/Alston/Coonan's devising...

- They were told at the time that a 'structural separation' was the only
viable solution.
- They released T1, T2 & T3
- they saw and allowed the dual cable roll-out - what a waste!
- They were in charge (>50% ownership) when the "Three Amigos" were
recruited
- and were in charge when Sol, Burgess & ?? started being recalcitrant:
they could've sacked Sol

Tell me *anyone* who's happy with New Telstra.
Lots of unhappy shareholders, people-in-the-bush, ADSL users, ISP's and
competitors...

Will this be one of the major election issues?
Howards' "Good Management" is actually very poor -
and this bird has come home to roost.
