Power Over Ethernet: 48V, 400ma ~= 15W [less at the appliance. Allow
~20% for 100m of Cat-5]

Any Votes for RJ-45 everywhere?
Strangely enough telephones work on 48V - but only 20-50ma. Couldn't
find the ITU-T Recommendation.
Microphones use a DIN standard for 'phantom power' - 48V & 2ma. [not
suitable]
