You hope.

Unfortunately some resellers would drag ADSL interconnect across
=state boundaries= and you'd end up with wonderful stuff like a /32
IP which drifts between Perth, Sydney and Melbourne. Crap performance
for the users who are on a different side of the country to the ADSL
aggregation point, madenningly frustrating to do any form of "QoS"
monitoring.

P2P would work so much better in Australia if and when this model
of "aggregate all broadband as if its 'dialup' technology to the major
city" goes away. We'll just have to wait and see.
