I agree. There is a world of difference between corporate and personal 
users. CIOs (assuming we are not talking about small enterprises here) 
who do not understand the difference should be sacked.

Unfortunately we get people like Charles Black, chief executive at 
Nasstar, who claims that in-house systems and management will soon be a 
thing of the past.

Nasstar is a desktop hosting business and Black doesn't seem to be able 
to see beyond the edge of the desk.

With personal systems it is the individual that comes first. With 
corporates (and governments) it is the enterprise where data ownership 
and control, business process automation and efficiencies take on much 
higher priorities. The likes of Nasstar and Google Docs might have a 
place in the ISverse, but it is not likely to be a big one.
