"four times less likely..." ... huh? PayPal is less trouble / problematic
than using a credit card or direct debit? Pull the other one!

This kind of spin is perilously close to that of a similar ilk, to wit,

"We are introducing these changes to enhance the customer experience. Our
surveys show this is what the customer wants."

Yeah. Crap.

This kind of spin hides the real intent of the perpetrator by glossing up
the reasoning with some sort of feel good tactic, "less likely to have a
problem", and hides true intent. Of course MacGibbon would say this kind
of thing. It comes with the job these days, or so it seems.

The lie is there in front of you. The truth is that PayPal is demonstrably the
a very [problematic payment system when a dispute arises and your funds
are frozen. And as pointed out in another posting, they are not a bank.

They do not have to abide the same code of conduct and rules and regs that
banking insitutions do. This, imho, is plain wrong and should be addressed.
If it quacks like a bank, treat it like a bank.
