Well actually not true. A lot of IP battling went on at the start of
Afghanistan and Iraq.

US Military Operations DoS'd networks in Afgahnistan and
Iraq. Plenty a log about people who traced IPs. (Which is really
silly cause i can mask my IP and my routes without batting an eye)

Then there were the e-mails that flooded Iraq users, including masses
of SPAM to known Iraq Hotmail accounts telling them that the people
will be safe and the Americans will save them blah blah

There was web site defacing going on and so much more.

You know eve in the first Gulf War by George Bush the First, Israel
Bulletin Boards and Modem networks came attack from demon dialiers
and other things. I use to have a friend in Tel A Viv who ran a BBS
and his lines would just flood with endless ringing calls that kept
his modems occupied for hours.

This also happened in Turkey and a few other places in the region.

Mind you, my friend was in a chat session with me one night via an IP
network (using Ytalk) when a Scud missile crashed through his roof,
took out his computer, and missed him by inches.

Took him 2 weeks to make contact with me!
