It looks like FuelWatch is dead:  
<http://www.abc.net.au/news/stories/2008/08/13/2334007.htm> and 
GroceryChoice hasn't really drawn breath.

FuelWatch would require vendors to fix prices for a period and 
GroceryChoice works on month-old prices.  That sort of thing might have 
been the best we could do in 1978, but surely we could do better these 
days.  With everyone online (the majors, at least) why can't prices be 
tracked in real time?

So, a couple of questions for the Link Institute:
-   What can be done to make price information available to consumers 
(not necessarily restricted to fuel & food)?
-   Of what could be done, what is worth doing?
