At the same conference as Geoff Houston spoke to, someone from Equinix
recounted his personal experiment: "Can I connect to v6 as a home user?"
- regarding the gateway situation, he was only able to identify a tiny
handful of suitable boxes. He also couldn't get a consumer connection,
and many of the v4-v6 gateway services he tried simply didn't work.
And don't get me started on the misguided pitches that have infested the
IPv6 debate for most of its ten years... at least Geoff H is a hard-head
and isn't babbling about connected refrigerators as if it were a
credible business pitch.
