Not quite live: The battery in my laptop went flat and I had to 
retreat to the ACT Library a few hundred metres away to post (I found 
my new 3G wireless modem worked fine from the underground library).

There were about 100 people at the Canberra rally. As George 
commented, it did look a bit like a "world of warcraft" meeting. We 
also had to compete with a nearby choir of Christmas carollers.

I am not sure exactly of the purpose of a face-to-face rally in the 
age of the Internet. But this makes more sense than the Minister for 
Broadband's attempt at online policy consultation using a blog. ;-)
