Well, the agenda item is "NetAlert", which is actually an initiative of the
previous (Howard) government. So with Coalition control over the Senate and
with the numbers on this committee, perhaps they don't want to do the
digging. ALP Senator Kate Lundy is asking questions now, but about ADSL
roll-out and Internode's (alleged) funding.
And, indeed, with more politically-charged possibilities for this last hour,
I suspect they won't dig very much into NetAlert. Certainly no-one seemed
all that keen to pursue it earlier. Even Family First's Senator Steve
Fielding was an easy touch -- and this his his hot-button issue!
But, as you say, an hour (well, 45 mins now) to go...
