I've had a similar experience.

They said that the company I reported has been the subject of several
complaints, but they can't track them down. The Chinese call centre
claimed that the company (can't remember the name) was in Brisbane but
ACMA can't find any record of them.

For the record, I got my first mobile phone spam yesterday from a mob
purporing to be Sports Bet or some such.
