This must be from some news digest. The original article does not
say the above. It is ludicrous.
But there are some ludicrous "back of envelope" calculations in the
article, i.e.
The distractions cost American businesses $650?billion (£326?billion)
a year. If the problem is as bad in Britain, the likely cost to
British business is more than £50?billion a year.
Perhaps the question marks indicate as much.
The idea of email-free time/days seems like corporate nannyship. Are
people so undisciplined that they cannot TURN OFF their IM, shutdown
their email program, etc.etc?
And someone is working on a way to search old emails for information!
How innovative.
