I'd feel a lot more unloved and unimportant if I new I was checking
my mail every minute and there was nothing there!
Imagine standing at the front door waiting for the door bell to ring,
opening it to see if your friends turned up, they haven't and closing
it again. A few hours later you are still doing this.
Ergh :)
I like my "I check when I remember" process - at least then I might
have a surprise from someone other than SpamAssassin telling me I
have more spam :)
And my mail server is on my LAN!
