Even if the ebooks were treated as property, exactly the same as dead tree
books .. are there any compelling reasons to choose to read on the kindle
instead?

If so, then the real question is whether what you are gaining is worth the
loss if the ebook advantages were coupled with the license not property
issue.

So .. what *are* the advantages of reading a book on the kindle vs reading
it on paper?
