Haven't yet read the article, but have read the comments that Ivan
wrote and will agree.

I know so many people using iPhones in the UK and USA it's mind blowing.

IN fact I'm really impressed by the gadget itself. As a Phone with
WiFi that can hop online anywhere ay time, do email and all the
basics, plus of course play video on a screen you can actually nearly
see with great auto for it's size, it is impressive.

Data plans on on Telstra are 3 times the cost of a data plan on '3'
and I'd not waste my time with Optus of Vodafone.

Of course you can buy your iPhone and unlock it yourself, if you are
brave enough, or send it away for a week and she comes back ready to SIM!

Why don't I have one?

Well it doesn't yet run a word processor, spread sheet or ODBC
database interface. The web browser needs a bit more puff, it's CPU
is a tad slow for anything I'd take the baby on board for. I haven't
seen a VNC for it yet..

Still, it replaces a PDA and Mobile phone and MP3 and Video Player,
so maybe in 5 years :)
