It's a beta.  It also says that will support offline playing in the future
(although the DRM implications and no iPod will probably be a show-stopper
for most people).  Remember this is Web 2.0 - there's no need to wait until
you're anywhere near feature complete before you release!

Most P2P programs use some form of client/server download for the initial
metadata, then peer-to-peer for the actual data download.  I'm presuming
this is the same, and the link you can send is a link to the
tracker/DRM/metadata server.
