TelstraClear promises HD
The Dominion Post 12 May 2008

TelstraClear has promised customers of its cable networks in Wellington
and Christchurch they will not miss out on high-definition TV.

The telco provides a package of programming from Sky TV over the cable
networks, in addition to telephony and Internet access. Sky TV will begin
broadcasting some movies and sports broadcasts to its satellite customers
in high-definition from July.

TelstraClear spokesman Chris Mirams says the company does intend to
rebroadcast Sky shows in high-definition over its cable network, but
cannot confirm the timing or the details.

Mr Mirams says TelstraClear is also seeking PVR set-top boxes that would
let its cable customers "pause and rewind" live television and record
programmes to a hard disk. http://www.stuff.co.nz/4523495a18335.html
