Friends are building a honey of an open source car .. parts from everywhere

Sitting where you are, you can buy a dozen fairly exact replicas of the
hot rod mandatory Ford A model chassis, and two dozen Ford T or A bodies
in your choice of fibreglass, aluminium etc, and which will all, more or
less, bolt together. Not to mention the wide choice of replica lights etc.

A huge car industry, based on the Ford A model defacto open source design.

Problem is, it sports a fully-chromed and spanking 351 cubic-inch Chevy V8
engine, and is not a green car. Utterly mouth-watering, yes, and green, no.

But it is defacto open source design. I say we need a 21st Century version.

Cheers, people
