What a fatuous thing to say. "Looking black" is all it takes.

This is a huge victory for America. Americans have collectively got past
the colour of someone's skin and given him the most mystically powerful
position possible in their society.

Good on 'em. I hope he does them all proud. But even if he doesn't,
they've already done *themselves* proud.
